Race 1: A fairly average maiden to start with. Although having its first start at Kal, Rubitrove should be too good. North Royal, Little Ronnie and Lazyboy are the speed and the main dangers. Cappa Magna's trial was only fair and That's Why has run two disappointing races since a top 3rd.

Race 2: A little more depth in this maiden. Tomochichi has drawn well and is an speed runner. I thought Academy Tide showed enough at its first race start to be a chance and Classic Tale comes out of a stronger maiden. Magical Note and Sandshoe have to be included in any novelty.

Race 3: Found this hard. Petite Maison has drawn wel lagain but it did have every chance last week. Rustic Sovereign is a chance to lead. Versaint ran okay but not as well drawn and Fremantle is the one with the abilty to win it but having 1st start in Kal. D'Light Fantatic will find this much harder. Lavished should be included in any novs.

Race 4: This is quite open and contains a bit of speed. Battle Scene is in rare form and once again gets a good draw. Vaintrain is going okay and Parbo rated very well when winning 1st up. Danterina pushing out to a trip and may lead.

Race 5: A tough race. Goonee won well but is drawn poorly. Henry Joseph is returning to form. Arondight is getting better and Eagle Peak did what few maidens can do, winning 1st time out of maiden company. Home Front is a chance but don't know much about the young jockey.

Race 6: Best race of the day. Black George has a terrific record at Kalgoorlie and is in form. Major canny is drawn to lead where it races best. Ain't No Saint will be getting home hard as raced a little hard when leading last time. King Of The Stalls is an interesting runner and Arachnid can place from a good draw. Matador will appreciate the drop back in trip.
