Race 1: Looks very tough. Dance Studio showed excellent improvement and may get a strong 1200m. Kiddy Kat has been going okay at the shorter trip but have my doubts will get 1200m. Madame Renoir ran home well when having its first start and Imabutu showed good improvement when winning at Northam, Bella Contesea will appreciate this class and is drawn well.

Race 2: This is a really hard race with many chances. Ultimate Fighter impressed 1st up when always wide in Sat Class. Easi Cummins and Mr Moneymaker are good chances and Gronzy won well at its debut. There were plenty of good triallers which makes it even tougher.

Race 3: Been following Pegachi but do not like the jockey change. Scanned won well last time and Alaskan will appreciate being back in this grade. Danny does ride these staying events well. Zebook is a show and Conservative Point ran home well at Northam.

Race 4: An open race. Comme Ci returned with a good effort. Cocky Boy goes well over the trip, Godulfi has retruned in fine style and Jaw Dropper is in form. Metal Flake is speedy and Isabella Maree will be getting home hard.

Race 5: An even field. Numerous Secrets can improve, Interange is honest, Steel Bars has shown imporved form last twoand Super Hawk should strip fitter. Raging is going okay and Better Than Darcey and The Pudge are hard to catch. Verissimo is a chance if it can get in early.

Race 6: Best race of the day. 5 Real chances. Demelza's Wings is drawn well and going particularly well. Timely Queen should be on speed and has Harvey on board. Need Luck is a favourite but will get back. Never Forgotten is down in class and should appreciate the trip and Carooned is in form. Hard to split them.

Race 7: Ringemeister is drawn bewdifully in gate 1. Agribiz will skip across the field and lead. Miss El Guerrouj is drawn well and will appreciate this class. Don'trocktheboat is back in form but will need some luck form barrier.

Race 8: A good finish. Don't Park improved last time, Fromm is very smart and drawnw ell, Steam On is an enigma but has plenty of ability and Traxa is in form and is alwasy well ridden by O'Donnell.

Looks an interesting meeting with a very good field contesting the time honoured Coolgardie Cup.
Rail 4m Weather Good
Race 1: A fairly common maiden with the form well exposed. Be Smart and Flirtino don't have much between them. Flirtino is not as well drawn as its previous runs however. Zip To the City showed some improvement when leading, Secret Bullion comes to Kal for the first time and class will definitely suit. Along with Grandblurr, who has had two starts here, they both look a bit one paced. Magical Note is drawn to be a chance too. If I could find one that had a turn of foot, I'd be confident. Best run wins.

Race 1: Only a small field and they are all stepping up in trip for the 1st time. 4 main chances. Mickey Drippin 's last 100m was okay and meets Hometown Princess better off at the weights. She will probably sit outside speed again. Pearls Of Wisdom is the knockout chance. Went too hard at latest run and then was a late scr. Drawn to get soft run behind Darrah's Secret. Race 1: Some very good debut runs in this. Foreverclever went awesome at Northam and the form from that race has held up well. Digital Blackout hit the line hard and Kilat ground away late. Tigerwoord trialled super but looks as though it will be a back marker. I have Pearls Of Wisdon being a good chance to lead but is nomed for Sat. Nediyms Ruler is a chance.

Race 3: Snuglet ran on well to win last start. Ciera showed plenty of ability last time in and can race handy. Scenic Rules flew home and Portrait Lass is drawn to advantage. Red Geisha is an interesting runner. Trialled okay and has raced against much tougher opposition.

Race 4: Mscar won well and is drawn perfectly. Catlantic drops in grade a touch. Torbell ran well and Worthy Scholar produced a nice effort too. Wild Times and St Pierre are chances.

Race 8: Another tough 1000m race to finish. Incoherent resumed with a good effort. Pounced is drawn to advantage and Zester probably has the most ability but first time out of 3yr old comapny. Step and Go, Edadi and Great Kissa are place chances. Vernas Boy went much better last prep but will be a long way back I suspect today.

An interesting card today. Rail out 5m
Race 1: A fairly average maiden to start with. Although having its first start at Kal, Rubitrove should be too good. North Royal, Little Ronnie and Lazyboy are the speed and the main dangers. Cappa Magna's trial was only fair and That's Why has run two disappointing races since a top 3rd.

Although I never posted midweek, I did managed to find a few winners with Need Luck being a great result on Thursday.
Looks a fairly substandard meeting today however, with the opening race being a prime example. Weather is good and rail is at 6m. Hopefully the track will race truly.
Race 1: Heart Ache looks a moral but anything can happen in small fields. Speed is questionable so am expecting a hacking pace. Brunello the logical danger and Caller One and Sentenza to improve.

Race 2: An open event. Cool Handle was unrucky last time when held up at a vital point in the race. Sound System races as though the 1200m will suit and Auburn Streak has drawn to advantage. Easi Cummins should appreciate the trip and of the triallers, Hi Kilmore and Vexillum are a chance.

Race 3: An interesting staying race. Hawkeye Was well ridden last start. Cohort had its chance. Sunrange boxed on well last Sat and would be a chance if it could get across early and sit behind Hawkeye. Wicklow Hills returned to some of its best form after have quite a few leg problems. Admiring surprised me and Jeverre is a hope.

Race 4: Two staying races in the one day. Bizzaca is going well. Best Beware a chance. Test The Angles will ahve to work early but is going well. Western Jewel is an interesting runner at the dist for the first time and Kiwatiri should improve further.

Race 5: Looks to be three main chances. King Kool Kat, Ten Aces and Kenbon. Speed is critical and the top two will control the race. Kenbon just needs luck but will be hitting the line hard late. Has no weight so if they do go a tad hard, will be hard to hold out.

Another day, another attempt to pick a few winners.
Didn't have the greatest tipping day yesterday and last Sunday is one best to forget.
Rail out 5m and expect more of the same with on pacers being the hardest to beat.
Race 1: Many of these have had their chances. Flirtino is the best of the on pace runners. Be Smart showed that 1400m is its best trip and Slip Step went super last start and may be the one with most scope for improvement. Simply a Star made up many lengths last start and is worth including.

Geyer Peak has alwasy been a horse I like but its trial was ave. Interestingly, Harvey is on board today.

Belmont 7th August
Rail 3m An interesting meeting with a few very open races.
Race 1: There are many chances in this. The obvious choice is Cold Handel. Drawn well and has shown it can reel off a good final sectional. Courageous Show won well 1st up, Auburn Streak is honest and Twilight Obsession kicked back well when having its first start. Of the triallers, was really impressed with Dance Studio. Looks a real nuggety type and is my selection.

Race 2: A very ordinary race. Gold Rocks looks the winner but has to back up from last weeks effort. If it can, should beat this lot easily.

Race 4: This should be run at a good clip. 4,11 and 12 all like to go forward. Lena's Fury went super at its first start and with Danny on, will be going hard again. Awesome Force is drawn poorly but has plenty of ability. Megems Boy is well suited to the trip but will need a little luck getting a run. Kilkenny Jac has hit form and although drawn wide, is a rough show. Mister Mimms should get a nice run and be there at the end. Lets Go Secret is suited back to the 1000m as well. But having said all of that, there are two runners in the field that both put in super runs when resuming last time. Emteevee, who will be on the speed (change of trainer and hasn't trialled this time)and Never Forgotten , who will be back last. Going to take both of these in a nov.

I've watched its last two runs closely and McGruddy rides it very quietly. Hoping it has a decent break on Bizzaca with 200m to go. Caller One will appreciate the draw.

Yabighorse is the class and Haagen will be getitng home hard. ODonell rides this best but C Harvey is a worthy replacement. Revy Jay is racing well and Bermaise is a place chance.

R2 Miltons Gift a rough chance altohugh drawn poorly and maybe a risk at the trip. Royal Edict is an excellent hope, Drawn well and distance rise suits. 1,4 and 16 are live chances.
R3 Rubitrove has run well at both starts this prep.

R5 City of London a chance. Fortis - 'will the right horse' stand up. 1600m should suit.
R6 Timberlands should be just about right. I'm A Rocker and Rule The North are the main dangers.
R7 Star Crest, Wild Enforcer and Terminado the anchors for the quad.
