Kalgoorlie 11th July

Wasn't going to look at Kal today as don't have my videos on lappie but seeing there was a hint of dissatisfaction from some lads in Darwin yesterday, thought I'd better post some thoughts.

Race 1: Looks a race in 2. Redfish should lead and Walnut Creek will have final shot. Rail is out 10m so am expecting on pace runners to dominate, again.

Race 2: This is the weakest maiden I've seen at Kal all year. Show Pony has the draw to be prominent and Magical Note will be running on.

Tips 6 - 7 (1st $3.20) - 8- 3 - 4

Race 3: As opposed to the previousrace, this is tough. Quite a few on pace runners with some drawing wide. D'light Fantantastic has had plenty of chances but is drawn well and will appreciate this class. Secret Prince can improve from good draw, Miss Rosettie won a trial okay and the 1,2,3,4 are the speed.

Tips 6 -5 (1st $5.40) -1 -2 - 9 -3

Race 4: Zedream has come back in sensational form displaying a great turn of foot. Expect speed form Em Gee Brown and Carribean Crusie who improved greatly 2nd up. Universal Reigns goes around agian and was unrucky last week.

Race 5: I expect Corrola to be hard to beat in this. Dropping in grade and drawn really well. Action Hero is the interesitng runner, Lucky Lane Eight is the class dropper and will be short. Toronto has appreciated the weaker grade in Kal.

Race 6: Expect Midnight Train to lead but for some reason Misty handed up last start and that was the end of her race. Menuhin raced well last week and Fidelma stormed down the outside to beat a simialr class field. Expact Kejo Kara to appreciate drop back in class. Vain Spirit should improve.

Race 7: Lottabiz was suited by the good speed last week but this looks more pedestrian. Masters Seal was wide and Marleycombe showed excellent improvement. It may lead and prove hard to beat.

Race 8: A tough finish. All The Gold ran a cracker 1st up but is not always consistent. Cherily appeals from the good draw. Its the Truth was disapointing at first Kal run and Bold Conqueror can throw in the odd good run.
