Kalgoorlie 6th June

Well, its been a week since I've posted so I suppose I deserve a rocket. Especially if one goes by an email I received this morning.

"How is a man supposed to back winners at Kalgoorlie? I've logged onto the Phipps Blog and it's totally out of date! Phukn hopeless. Here he is promoting his blog site, it lasts 2 weeks and now it's phukn history. To say I'm disappointed would be an understatement. I pay my weekly membership fees and expect far better."

Thankfully one of my mates, who was heading to Adelaide River to watch his horse go around, knew where his phone was asked for a few tips and we were able to oblige with Mabel Grace 2nd, Bike Aaromba (Best) 2nd and General Albert (EW) $36.80!! Evidently, along with a few of his companions, they loaded up and nailed the trifecta. Sounded like a rowdy bus trip home.

Small but interesting field. No opinion.

Looks a tough maiden. The top 2 will go close. Value chances to Be Smart who kept plugging away when having first run in Kal and Mum's Memory, who hit the line okay. Harkam Isa a chance but query at trip.

Race 3
Looks an even lot. Bitter Humour raced well last week and Stormy is consistent. Inferno is dropping in class but dooesn't possess much of a sprint. Would play the top 5 in the novs.

Race 5
This is a tough race with plenty of different formlines. Not sure if Midnight train is suited back to the 1400m. Vaintrain will find this tougher than last week. Verster will appreciate class drop. Miss Appropriate and Berber should hit the line strongly. Also need to consider Power Torque.

Race 6
Found this one difficult. Have always had an opinion of All The Gold and if the speed is on, can get home hard. Sword Master will be hard to beat as should improve on 1st up run. Master Seal is drawn well and should get a good sit behind Red Hot Prince (if they ride it like they do last time) Canny Touch also has a show. A good betting race. I'll be working around the top 6 in the novelties.

Race 7
Another hard race to finish. Fidelma has been in great form. Stromfront rates quite well and is dropping in class. Lord Arlie fought on well last start. and Star Ruler ran on.
