Belmont 11th September

Been a tough week on the punt. Looking for a positive turnaround today.

Rail is out 3m and the track should be good.

Race 1: A small but competetive field. Ultimate Fighter boxed on well after leading and and won't have to go as hard as early today. Mickey Drippin fought on really well after sitting on the speed and Digital Blackout is well placed. Kilat is a rough show.

Race 2: A really interesting race. There seems to be plenty of serious speed. Fyling Heritage went quick at both s tarts last prep and the first starter Cockeyed Bob also showed plenty of speed at the trials as did Emporio. Carbine Street is drawn perfectly and can get cover if needed. The class is Riosand. Had a torrid run in the Karrakata yet won its two previous races in excellent fashion. Cold handel should be getting home hard down the outisde.

Race 3 Another 1000m sprint. I don't see them going too hard in this early. I really like Lady Doll as a horse but she does need them to go quick early. Sunsilkin went super 1st up but is drawn a tad wide. Can see it sitting outside the leader and with O'Donnell on board, will get its chance. Dane's Mystery went well fresh and is drawn to perfection. Lead Rope is brilliant 1st up and Underline has never raced better but is drawn poorly. Freetime is not hopeless either.

Race 4: An interesting race. Two leaders in Timely Queen Russell Road. Avante backs up again and is drawn perfectly. Don'trocktheboat has hit form and Mcscar has been going well midweek. Dangerous Dane went well 1st up but is carrying a bt of weight. Moneghetti is the class horse but never fired after winning 1st up last prep. Blinkers on today. Sky Magic and Triple Ken are a chance.

Race 5: A tough race. Harvey will probably take Ringmeister forward even though it is drawn wide. Ocean Cracker has impressed at its last two runs finishing off very quickly. Raging has hit form and Key Biscuit is the class dropper.Cataclysmic is drawn to get the gun run and Exhit, The Pudge, Avenmore Terrace and Verissimo all are chances. Go wide in the quaddie. I like the backmarkers but don't see a lot of speed.

Race 6: Where Theres Smoke was perfectly ridden last time and will probably try and repeat the leading effort. This should ensure Like A Vain gets the perfect run behind it and be hard to beat. Classy Nugget returned to form and even though is carrying 59kg, is a show again. Grey Monarch, Tolka Rock, and Galldora are place chances. Speccio is a horse I like but it does have a flat spot in its races and I think it is a risk today as will have to do some work.

Race 7: Who will win this week? I did have something on Hallowell Express last time and felt he was really strong on the line. I'm pretty sure he'll get the trip. Jeverre is going super and Rosmopolitan was ridden a treat last week. Cassius Grey has been super at both runs this prep and has a good record at the trip. Classic Collection is a place chance.

Tips 10 - 13 -11 -4 -15

Race 8: A good race to finish with. Power Princess is going well, Versarc went super first up and goes equally as well 2nd up. Comme Ci is a nice type but this is a class rise, Never Forgotten won well and can run home quickly. Kings console has ability and Liquidation is the best performed runner.
